(Telecompaper) The South African Reserve Bank (SARB) has given Econet Wireless the green light to start cross-border mobile money remittances to Zimbabwe via EcoCash, ANA reported. Expatriot Zimbabweans will now be able to send money back home to EcoNet mobile money wallets in Zimbabwe. The mobile company said it would take several weeks for the service to be fully established, adding that it would be up and running by the end of July. The approval took over eighteen months to secure.
