LG Electronics debuts smartphone with - looks'

LG Electronics unveiled Tuesday a new handset that comes with unique casings showing facial expressions as part of a push to woo younger consumers. The AKA phone, named after the acronym for "also known as," is now available for purchase through three local mobile carriers: SK Telecom, KT and LG Uplus, the company said in a statement.

(Telecompaper) Microsoft has presented its new and affordable Microsoft Lumia 535 and Lumia 535 Dual Sim smartphones. Both smartphones sport Windows Phone 8.1, a wide-angle 5 megapixel front-facing camera, and a 5-inch display. The devices carry an estimated retail price of around EUR 110, before taxes and subsidies. Pricing will however vary by market and operator. The phones will start rolling out to key markets in November and will be available in bright green, bright orange, white, dark grey, cyan and black. The smartphones feature Skype video calls with seamless switch between voice and video with built-in Skype integration, and come pre-installed with Office suite, 15 GB of free OneDrive cloud storage, the Cortana personal virtual assistant, and Microsoft Outlook.
