Spun yarn prices have stopped declining in the last seven days in India, partly due to a reduced market activity in observance of Gandhi Jayanti. Cotton and polyester prices could remain very firm in the coming period, meaning that yarn prices would not significantly decline. Cotton yarn prices are slightly dropping in Pakistan, in line with a decline of cotton fiber prices, our Pakistan correspondent reports. Prices are however expected staying relatively firm in the coming period in line with a rebound of domestic demand from spinners. The polyester market has stabilized in the meantime. Spun yarn prices could therefore drop, over a rise of cotton arrivals on the domestic market.
