Super-retailer Meijer hopes to make turkeys fly -- figuratively, not literally -- off store shelves this Thanksgiving by offering discounted turkeys starting Nov. 15. For the second consecutive year, when Meijer customers spend $20, their purchase of any fresh or frozen turkey, regardless of brand or size, will be 50-percent off. Meijer touts that it expects to lead the Midwest in low-price Thanksgiving turkeys.
