An influential advisory group this morning recommended that the National Institutes of Health cancel the National Children's Study , a controversial and long-delayed plan to follow the health of 100,000 U.S. children from birth to age 21. NIH Director Francis Collins has yet to respond to the recommendation, according to Science Insider's Jocelyn Kaiser, who is at the meeting.
