Respectively supplied in 5 x 5 mm, 32-pin QFN package and 7 x 7 mm, 48-pin TQFP, 2-channel XR28V382 and 4-channel XR28V384 are UARTs for Intel Low Pin Count (LPC) motherboard bus that reduce footprint while increasing data integrity and throughput by providing 128-byte transmit and receive FIFOs. Along with automatic half duplex control for RS-485 networks, features include 3.3 V operation and direct interface with system BIOS. Each UART channel supports serial data rates to 3 Mbps.
