We are looking for a Business Development Manager Aerospace to join our team in Darmstadt, Germany, to take an instrumental role in further growing and expanding the client base of the Engineering Services business, reporting to the Director of Engineering Services. Tasks The role will include all aspects of the sales lifecycle, including Provide input to the business development strategy for the Engineering Services business Perform market surveys and competitor analysis to aid the positioning of the SCISYS offering Identify new clients and build relationships with key client contacts and potential partners manage the client account Understand the clients needs and contribute to the shaping of the services to meet the markets demand Identify, develop and close sales opportunities, maintaining a sales pipeline to deliver sustainable and profitable business Working collaboratively with the other teams to identify winning propositions that will meet clients needs Prepare proposals of a high standard in all aspects Assisting in the preparation of business and sales forecasts Representing SCISYS credibly and professionally at conferences and exhibitions Delivering agreed sales targets Essential requirements This is an interesting opportunity to join a dynamic business in an exciting domain. Telespazio VEGA is seeking to appoint a SeniorLead Systems Engineers to be phasedin to supplement the current Management and Coordination Team MCT, i.e. System Level engineering in charge of the system engineering and the system level activities. The SeniorLead System Engineers requires experience in coordinatingworking with a team of System Architects and have a thorough understanding of Satellite Mission Ground Control Systems andor EGSE Software systems. Depending on the profile of the successful applicant, we will be looking for an additional Senior andor Lead System Engineer to complete the team. The successful applicants will become a member of the Software Solutions Department, based in our Headquarter in DarmstadtGermany. ResponsibilitiesDuties Drive contribute to the system level engineering for future releases, ensure coherence between system level and component level design across the entire system Analysis of change requests and provision of solutions at system level in cooperation with the other MCT members Identification, analysis and resolution of potential gaps between the system requirements, design and component implementation Analyse and resolve system level issues raised by the component suppliers andor the integration and validation team Review Test and Validation Plans at system and component level to ensure consistence and coherence Technical management of the contribution of the component developers, proactive monitoring and tracking of progress, escalating in case of schedule conflict Acceptance of component deliverables from subcontractors Ensuring the system level engineering is conducted in line with the applicable processes, standards and guidelines defined for the project Contribute to the evolution of the project engineering standards and guidelines Ensuring appropriate quality, risk and configuration management through continued monitoring and evaluation of contributions from the subcontractors Leadsupport regular MCT meetings, project reviews and audits. QualificationsExperience A degree in computer science, physics, mathematics, or equivalent General software system level engineering, experience in leading system design carried out by a team, experience with development projects with multiple, multinational subcontractorspartners located at different sites. Essential Skills Ability to effectively communicate with all stakeholders of such a project at different levels of an organisation Ability to ensure a high quality standard of the output by appropriate attention to the applicable quality management system Reporting, monitoring and evaluation of the technical status of the project Knowledge of ESAs ECSS standards or similar softwaresystem engineering standards, a good understanding of the software development life cycle, i.e. Vmodel with incremental deliveries Understanding of the risks in Software Application development and management of such technical and schedule risks Experience in the Technology Stack used in the project, i.e. Java, OSGi, Karaf, Blueprint, Maven, Nexus, Jenkins, Git, Basic Linux SLES, OpenSUSE Fluency in English. Desirable Skills Experience with Agile development Experience in the Technology Stack Eclipse RCP, Tycho, P2, JeroMQ, ActiveMQ, Basic Hadoop, Zookeeper, Docker, Advanced Linux Scripting would be advantageous Good command of the German andor French language. EGNOS extensions and international development in Africa Engineer

The GSA is supporting the European Commission in the area of SBAS international development for EGNOS. In that context, the Commission has delegated to the GSA the undertaking of a study for the extension of EGNOS services to Africa with the future generation of the system EGNOS V3, based on the augmentation of Galileo and GPS. This study shall provide an impact assessment impact which could be positive or negative, the estimated cost, schedule and development plan of such extension. This position is based in Toulouse, France. Tasks and Activities The scope of work will include Make a synthesis of all available inputs related to EGNOS V3 extension over Africa extracted for instance from EC related projects, EGNOS V3 phase B outcomes Liaise with the EGNOS in Africa Joint Program Office JPO which is expected to support the study Support Programme requirements definition by elaborating Missionlevel analyses for extending the EGNOS V3 coverage from Europeonly to Europe and Africa in collaboration with JPO and GSA service engineering team Contribute to the identification of suitable RIMS hosting sites in Africa, in consultation with the JPO and the GSA site team Support Safety and Security assessments in coordination with GSA Officers Followup of the implementation of EGNOS V3 extension to Africa in line with the programme roadmap developed by GSA in the frame of the study.
