Senior Analyst, Fleet Development Ref SES0762 Region Europe Location Luxembourg Betzdorf Company SES Category Position Staff Published 20160314 Context The Senior Analyst, Fleet Development is responsible for contributing to the planning and development of the satellite fleet. The Senior Analyst Fleet development will play an active role in supporting the maintenance of the fleet plan, determining and prioritising future satellite procurements and assisting the VP and General Managers of Fleet Development in defining the requirements for future satellite procurements. Responsibilities Maintaining the SES Fleet Plan and delivering maximum enterprise value and return on investment consistent with strategic goals and financial objectives Assist in the development of future satellite procurement plans including i the development of commercial requirement documents ii overseeing the conduct of marketbased and technical analyses and related forecasting parameters by subject matter experts iii performing supporting analysis as required to support the VP and General Managers of Fleet Development in developing the business case Developing commercial rationale for future satellite relocations Analysing fleet health and development as it pertains to the current and future fleet strategy, assessing alternatives for the redeployment of existing assets, and ensuring the preparation of launch and inorbit failure mitigation plans by the managers andor subject matter experts Identifying expansion opportunities at existing orbital slots and locations, developing locations and bands for new orbital slots, and assigning related tasks to the relevant professionals and subject matter experts Experience Qualifications Bachelor or Master degree in Engineering or Business Economics, or equivalent education or demonstrable equivalent work experience in lieu of formal qualifications Minimum of three years of professional experience, preferably with two or more years in the satellite or telecommunications field Working experience in a satellite manufacturer is considered an additional asset Fluency in English the knowledge of other languages is also considered an additional asset Willingness to travel Ability to work well in a multicultural, international environment Excellent analytical skills, innovative spirit, business mind, result orientation, ability to provide practical conclusions Effective project time management Demonstration of the ability to be a team player, take initiative, be flexible and take leadership Outstanding human relations, interpersonal and communications skills at all levels both internally and externally Ability to selforganise, prioritise and handle multiple timesensitive tasks in a demanding environment Possess a proactive attitude Knowledge of Satellite payload systems and link budgets is preferred Ability to compile comprehensive and synthetic reports as required Excellent verbal and written skills Our Offer Competitive salary package, coupled with a diverse array of challenges and development benefits.
