Huawei signs IoT development partnership with SAP

(Telecompaper) Huawei announced at the Cebit trade show an expanded partnership with SAP to establish joint innovation efforts in Shenzhen, China and Walldorf, Germany. The agreement focuses on establishing a technical collaboration between SAP and Huawei, and to advance research on the Internet of Things (IoT) to provide new products to market. The two companies have previously collaborated on SAP HANA running on SAP-certified Huawei hardware and joint contact centre, big data, smart cities and bring your own device (BYOD) initiatives. As part of the extended partnership, the companies will work on integrating Huawei's ICT infrastructure and connectivity products with the SAP HANA Cloud Platform, SAP applications and analytic tools. The initial stage of the collaboration will focus on developing agile manufacturing, smart energy and transportation products with SAP HANA Cloud Platform. This encompasses hardware and connected equipment integration, and applications and analytics tools integration, respectively. The companies will target deployment with customers in the transportation, shipping and vehicle analytics services, and maintenance and warning services industries in Greater China and EMEA (Europe, the Middle East and Africa).

MCS Development, Test and Validation Engineer Key Tasks and Responsibilities The European Space Operations Centre ESOC is the main mission control centre for the European Space Agency ESA and provides satellite operations and ground station tracking network services to its users. You will be working in the Data System Infrastructure Division OPSGI and have the following responsibilities Review of technical documentation and verification of compliance to the applicable requirements Production and maintenance of technical documentation, including test plans Collaboration with the Technical Officers for the acceptance tests activities of the main systems deliveries and patches Definition and execution of manual and automated test cases Support to users of infrastructure systems, including troubleshooting of reported problems Measurement of systems performance Production of test reports documenting the outputs of the systems acceptance test activities. Skills Experience You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience University degree in Aerospace Engineering or a similar discipline Several years of professional experience working in a similar position Competence in modern computer languages such as C, C, Java, XML, SQL, IDL and scripting languages Familiarity with modern software development environments and systems Familiarity with LINUX environments and IP based network environments Knowledge and experience in databases administration, software engineering and documentation Familiarity with the ESOC infrastructure applications belonging to the Mission Control domain, in particular with SCOS2000, would be an advantage Ability to work independently as well as good communication skills Fluency in English is mandatory knowledge of another European language is an advantage.
