Former Telstra Super fund manager came unstuck over $81k loan

Six months after Greg Lee commenced at Telstra Super, his former boss Juilliard managing director Schlomo Werdiger served a complaint against him seeking $79,907.58 over an unpaid director's loan. Telstra Super's recently departed head of property Greg Lee owed nearly $81,000 to his previous employer, and had more than $16,000 in credit card debt, when he entered bankruptcy in April 2011.

Telstra retail chief Karsten Wildberger resigns, 2nd boss to go in 2 months

Telstra's newly appointed head of retail Karsten Wildberger has quit the company after less than two months in the job and will return home to Germany in mid-2016. The former Deutsche Telekom executive had also been a Boston Consulting Group partner and was generally well-regarded at the company.

TPG Telecom chases Telstra share of telco market with new broadband plans

TPG Telecom executive chair David Teoh is speeding up his fibre rollout and gunning for Telstra's share of the telecommunications market, launching products and services at prices he claims the incumbent cannot match. TPG announced new broadband plans at its annual general meeting in Sydney on Wednesday morning.

Fears Telstra phone tower jeopardises safety in fire-risk areas

Residents of high fire-risk areas fear a planned new Telstra mobile phone tower will be built in the wrong spot, compromising coverage and risking safety. Their concerns come after a Telstra manager reportedly said the company was "not an emergency services organisation" and that it had "no obligation to deliver a network for safety purposes".
