(Telecompaper) Apple has unveiled Apple Watch, offered in three distinct collections: Apple Watch, Apple Watch Sport and Apple Watch Edition, and two size options, 38 mm and 42 mm. Apple has also developed a range of watch straps: the high-performance elastomer Sport Band; the Milanese Loop in a flexible magnetic stainless steel mesh; the Leather Loop in soft, quilted leather that conceals magnets; the leather Modern Buckle, which closes with a solid metal claps; the leather Classic Buckle; and the stainless steel Link Bracelet. Apple Watch will be available in three collections. Apple Watch, with a polished or space black stainless steel case and a choice of straps; Apple Watch Sport, with a space gray or silver anodised aluminium case and Sport Band; and Apple Watch Edition, with an 18-karat rose or yellow gold case and a choice of straps exclusive to this collection. Apple Watch straps include the Sport Band in black, blue, green, pink and white; the Classic Buckle in black and midnight blue; the Leather Loop in bright blue, light brown and stone; the Modern Buckle in midnight blue, brown, soft pink, rose gray and bright red; the Milanese Loop in stainless steel; and the Link Bracelet in brushed stainless steel and polished space black. Apple Watch will be available in early 2015 starting at USD 345. Apple Watch is compatible with iPhone 5, iPhone 5c, iPhone 5s, iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus running the latest version of iOS 8.

(Telecompaper) Apple has unveiled iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus smartphones offering a precision unibody enclosure of anodized aluminium that conforms to the shape of the glass of the display, resulting in a smooth and continuous surface. iPhone 6 offers a 4.7-inch Retina HD display with 1334 x 750 resolution, providing 38 percent more viewing area than iPhone 5s. iPhone 6 Plus offers a larger 5.5-inch Retina HD display with 1920 x 1080 resolution, providing 88 percent more viewing area and nearly three times the pixels than iPhone 5s. iPhone 6 comes in gold, silver or space gray, and will be available in the US for a suggested retail price of USD 199 for the 16GB model, USD 299 for the 64GB model and, for the first time, a new 128GB model for USD 399, with a two-year agreement. iPhone 6 Plus comes in gold, silver or space gray, and will be available in the US for a suggested retail price of USD 299 for the 16GB model, USD 399 for the 64GB model and USD 499 for the 128GB model with a two-year agreement. Both models will be available from the Apple Online Store, Apple's retail stores, and through AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, Verizon Wireless, additional carriers and select Apple Authorised resellers. iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus will be available in the US, Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Puerto Rico, Singapore and the UK beginning on 12 September.

Apple unveils Apple Pay, a digital wallet for your iPhone 6 and Apple Watch

Apple has announced its new mobile payments system: Apple Pay. As expected, it will allow you to use your iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, or Apple Watch as a digital wallet, paying at one of the 220,000 contactless payment locations across the US. Furthermore, though, Apple Pay also simplifies online payments, allowing you to buy things with just a single tap of the Touch ID sensor (your fingerprint). Apple Pay will also work with the Apple Watch.

At its big fall event at in Cupertino on Tuesday, Apple unveiled two new iPhones: the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. As expected, both new models sport much larger screens than previous versions. The standard iPhone 6 now sports a 4.7-inch display, while the iPhone 6 Plus comes with a massive 5.5-inch screen, putting it squarely in "phablet" territory. Storage on both iPhone models now tops out at 128GB, double the amount of previous models, and cameras have been updated as well.

At the iPhone 6 event in California, Apple's 'one last thing' was the reveal of the new iWatch. As expected, the iWatch is a round-faced smartwatch that pairs with your new iPhone 6 (or any other modern iOS device with Bluetooth), while providing all of the usual health-tracking functionality of other smartwatches via a bevy of clever sensors. There is a sapphire glass front panel to prevent any wear and tear, and NFC and digital wallet support so that you can pay for things using just your smartwatch.
