"We're just good friends, I've worked with him as we've had the tornadoes that came through Jones County, I've seen the character of the man and I believe it would just be a very good thing for him to continue to serve as sheriff in Jones County and any way I can help do that I certainly am."

Lacey Township residents may see low-flying helicopters over the course of the next two weeks, but officials say residents should not be alarmed. In a Nixle alert issued Monday morning, the Ocean County Sheriff's Office said Jersey Central Power and Light has contracted with Haverfield Company, which specializes in aerial inspections and repairs on electrical lines, to inspect JCP&L's power lines throughout the county.
