Advanced Disposal CEO Richard Burke received $5,625,974 in total compensation in 2015. That was up significantly from $1,148,230 in 2015 and $1,541,922 in 2014. Burke earned $600,000 in salary, $3,049,794 in stock awards, $1,324,930 in option awards, $609,006 in non-equity incentive plan compensation and $42,244 in all other compensation. Advanced Disposal completed its IPO in early 2016. Burke took over as CEO in 2014 from a retiring Charlie Appleby. Previously he served as president of the company and was responsible for mergers and acquisitions, purchasing, risk management, human resources and strategic planning. Burke joined Advanced Disposal following the acquisition of Veolia Environmental Services Solid Waste in November 2012. He was president and CEO of Veolia Environmental Services North America since 2007.
