State officials to announce new 'resources' for Flint water system

Representatives from state government plan to announce new help for Flint's troubled water system during a news conference today, Feb. 3. An advisory from the state says representatives of the Michigan Department of Treasury, the Office of Urban Initiatives and the Department of Environmental Quality will be joined by several state lawmakers and city leaders at 3 p.m. today. Officials will "discuss some state resources to be used for water system infrastructure and other improvements," according to the statement.
