As announced by FAA, Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University's unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) test site program is ready to conduct research vital to integrating UAS into this nation's airspace. This was last of 6 nationwide sites to be declared operational. Marking this event, demonstration was given of Smart Road Flyer multi-rotor UAS.
