Role Description Summary You are directly reporting to the Senior Manager, Core Transport Network for the design, deploymentimplementation, management and updates of network and services automation systems and packages. Primary Responsibilities Key Result Areas Participate in the design of the SES core transport networks technologies and its associated provisioning and assurance systems, including, but not limited validation of technical requirements, assessment of network services from automation perspective In time implementation of network and service automation systems and packages Responsible for proactive maintenance of network and service automation systems and packages, through upgrades and preventive maintenances and for reactive maintenance via Level 3 network engineering support to Network Operations staff during office hours and oncall by rotation during out of business hours Participate and responsible for Core Network Engineering intime delivery in crossfunctional and company strategic projects Understand and effectively interact with all stakeholders in the infrastructure and service delivery process Subjectmatter expert in automation and assurance systems and technologies deployed in the Core Transport Networks Delivering on complex and highly scalable software projects with NSO using defined design and methodologies Learn, understand, and automate key networking technologies and services Understand customer use cases and requirements and develop APIs and abstract models in YANG and implement reliable and scalable models and mapping mechanisms to multiple underlying platforms Understand, apply, and implement Transactional and consistency mechanisms using NETCONF and other protocols between network elements Focus on backend development using YANG and open source and thirdparty components Have the ability and dream to constantly learn groundbreaking software and networking technologies and can apply them in the Agile development process Competencies Good problem solving and analytical skills able to delivery visible and measurable results with limited supervision and incomplete input Understand and deliver on company goals and maintain focus on the end customer experience and quality of service delivery Demonstrate good documentation and report writing skills for team members andor crossfunctional peers Willingness to explore nextgeneration solutions and technologies Ability to coordinate business requirements and day to day tasks, both autonomously and in interdisciplinary teams Ability to manage complex projects and major network implementations Good communication skills and teamspirit Systematic and consistent problem and technical issues solving both in business as usual and stress environment Qualification Experience University degree in ElectronicsEngineeringIT or equivalent A minimum of 35 years of experience developing software applications using Python Experience developing with technologies such as NETCONF, YANG, JSON, REST, RESTCONF Experience with TSDB Influx DB Experience with Assurance systems preferred ZenOSS Exposure to different database technologies is a plus.
