Fidelity National continues upward trend, despite still-sluggish housing market

Fidelity National Financial Inc.'s revenue was up year-over-year for the fourth quarter of 2014 - continuing an upward trend since launching its Black Knight division - leading to adjusted core net earnings that beat estimates by 3 cents. The Jacksonville-based company which provides title insurance, technology and transaction services to the real estate and mortgage industries, posted adjusted net earnings of 50 cents per share in the fourth quarter, verses 34 cents per share for the year-ago quarter.

Tata Housing to invest Rs2,000 cr on projects across all segments

Tata Housing Development Company, the realty arm of Tata Group and a subsidiary of Tata Sons, will invest Rs 1,500-Rs 2,000 crore in the current calendar year to kick off several projects across the country in all consumer segments, from value to luxury. Meanwhile, Tata Value Homes, a subsidiary of Tata Housing, is also in the process of investing Rs 2,500-Rs 3,000 crore in several parts of the country to put up affordable housing, Brotin Banerjee, managing director and CEO of Tata Housing Development said on Tuesday.

Jacksonville real estate agents criticize Lejeune housing

Real estate agents in the Jacksonville area are criticizing new rules at Camp Lejeune that allow more people associated with Marines to live on base. The Daily News of Jacksonville reports the agents also are unhappy that another 136 houses are being built at Lejeune even though military officials say a drawdown plan will result in the loss of 4,000 Marines from the base.
