Dick Smith put into receivership 2 years after IPO

Dick Smith Holdings, the consumer electronics chain with 393 stores in Australia and New Zealand, has been put into receivership two years after being taken public by buyout firm Anchorage Capital Partners. The stock last traded at 35.5 Australian cents on the ASX, having tumbled 84 percent from the A$2.20-a-share Anchorage set for its initial public offering two years ago.

Commonwealth Bank of Australia put 182 Bankwest business loan customers into receivership during the first two years it owned the second-tier lender, a joint parliamentary committee has heard. At a hearing where the bank launched a strong defence of its conduct it also revealed it had booked writedowns on 1958 Bankwest loans over the period of December 2008, when CBA acquired Bankwest and June 2015.

Erik Buell Racing shutters East Troy plant, files for receivership

Erik Buell Racing , the motorcycle company based in East Troy, closed its business at noon Wednesday and filed for receivership in Walworth County Circuit Court, Erik Buell said Wednesday. The company had more than $20 million in outstanding liabilities and was no longer able to pay its ongoing expenses, said Tim Nixon , an attorney at Godfrey & Kahn SC , who represents the company.
