UPS has a warning for retailers
2014-11-19 23:24:16| Air Courier - Topix.net
The CEO of United Parcel Service Inc. says he anticipates a smooth holiday season because of the company's closer collaboration with major retailers, but he warned that UPS would charge its customers more or even refuse delivery if a late surge in sales threatens the company's system. Yahoo Finance reports that in 2013, last-minute sales from online retailers left about 2 million express packages undelivered in the U.S. So this year, the company has put a "control tower" system in place, where company officials can better manage package flow and anticipate any problems.
