Test Team Workflow Specialist MAIT Job Reference GTL201804114 Location Aylesbury, United Kingdom Our client is seeking a Test Team Workflow Specialist to oversee the smooth running of the test department and support the MAIT Manufacturing, Assembly, Integration Test Manager in coordinating the testing, reporting, assigning resources and reviewing of test plans, processes and test resources, both staff and equipment. To undertake the testing, fault finding and design improvement of prototype, development and flight hardware conforming to spaceflight approved formal test procedures. Purpose Day to day running of the test department including the testing of hardware. Scope To coordinate a team of test technicians to meet the test schedule requirements and to promote proper working within the test department. Tasks To ensure that the production build schedule is achieved on a dailyweekly basis and organise the workflow and test resources to consistently meet these requirements. Ensure the build plan is clearly communicated to the team and progress is visibly tracked in the dept. Attend daily meetings working proactively with Assembly dept. Confirm the daily targets are being met, identify constraints, and allocate owners to actions to resolve any identified issues Liaise with MAIT Managerplanning to assist with schedule input and identify potential resource conflicts Organise calibration, repair and lease of test equipment as required Undertake the tuning and testing of all company products Agree a standard for acceptable levels of housekeeping with the MAIT manager and ensure that the dept is kept to this standard Monitor data integrity and initiate corrective actions where necessary Work with test team members to maintain Quality levels Review test plans and support test engineering Review test results for data integrity and content in line with company procedures Maintain a detailed skills matrix and training plan, ensuring that all key processes within the dept have sufficient levels of trained resource to meet the production schedule Coordinate test team and workflow through area to maximise use of available hours Be first point of contact for resolution of production SAP issues Compliance to the companys Quality Management System QMS Compliance to the companys Health and Safety Policy Candidate Requirements Essential Broad base RF and Electronics knowledge within the functional discipline Familiarity with a wide range including waveguide of tune test techniques, experience of thermal, vacuum, high power and EMC testing Fully conversant with a wide range of RF, analogue and digital test equipment Familiarity with use and configuration of ATE test systems Familiarity with test plan and report generation Familiarity with test protocols and procedures Computer literate and conversant with common office applications Desired RF testing procedures as used in M.O.D Space industries. Exposure to LabVIEW Use of MRP systems, ideally SAP, to process production orders, record test results and raise nonconformance quality notifications Background Experiences Educated to minimum HNC in a related engineering discipline Experience working within the RF industry at both sub module and system test levels

We have 2 exciting new opportunities available in Airbus Filton for a Fluid Mechanical Specialist Engineer. We are seeking a Fuel Systems Engineer to work within our highly skilled, crossfunctional team to gain and deploy expertise across a range of fluid mechanical tasks. Specifically, we are seeking a candidate with a high level of experience in systems design and verification. The ideal candidate thrives in an agile environment and has a passion for resolving diverse technical problems. They will be required to support the continuing development of inservice programmes and the certification of new modifications including new fuel types. Our Fuel and Inerting Systems interface with a huge number of other aircraft functions including Wing, Fuselage and Empennage Structures, Electrical Systems, Powerplant, Auxiliary power unit APU, Avionics, Flight Handling and we continuously find innovative ways of improving our systems and products to help our customers achieve future business needs. The role will also require significant collaboration with fuel system equipment and resource suppliers and Airbus teams from Customer Services, Chief Engineering, Programmes, Safety, Airworthiness, Test, RT and Procurement. The objectives for this role include o Acting as a focal point for a particular sub system within Airbus Fuel systems. o Plan and complete fluid system design tasks using a range of analysis tools and methods with good knowledge of fluid mechanic principles o Provide resource estimates and programme plans to support fluid mechanical tasks to completion o Support the development, qualification and maturity testing of new subsystems. To ensure strong customer focus additional responsibilities of the job are to o Report progress on a regular basis, in a comprehensive and timely manner o Attend and present design aspects at design reviews o Liaise with System Safety and Control Indication design teams to ensure completeness of designAs the successful candidate, you must be able to demonstrate the following Required Qualifications and Skills o Degree in Engineering or a related discipline, or a demonstrable understanding of fluid handling systems and equipment and an HND in engineering or related discipline o Good understanding of Fluid mechanical principles o Familiarity with fluid system development, preferably within an aerospace context. o Ability to be flexible and agile within an innovative changing environment o Experience with managing a system development and suppliers o Ability to use judgement to make technical recommendations based on incomplete or conflicting design data o Experience of producing technical documentation of a high standard to accurately record design evolution o Experience of requirements V V processes o Ability to influence and coach stakeholders, and make informed decisions Additional Desirable Qualifications and Skills o Familiarity with systems engineering processes o System definition to safety, reliability, maintainability and particular risk requirements o Understanding of fuel characteristics o Airworthiness Regulations o Specific knowledge of aircraft fuel tank vent systems o Experience of use of computer based analysis tools with an understanding of their limitations Please ensure that a covering letter detailing motivations and suitability for this position is included in your application.
