Senior Specialist, Technology Project Manager

ROLE DESCRIPTION SUMMARY As an Technology Project Manager, you will be responsible for partnering with topnotch crossfunctional teams from development through execution of projects using Agile, Waterfall, andor a hybrid of methodologies You will be expertise in one or more of the following areas project execution, analyzing crossteam dependencies, blockages, process efficiency, proper documentation i.e. user stories, release plans in Jira. You will also be responsible for providing support in regularly reporting project status to management and other stakeholders. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES KEY RESULT AREAS Manage sprint planning and execution which includes the management of project progress providing project status and visibility to leadership Organize Scrum and milestone reviews Partner with Product Management to meet project objectives, define roadmap andor sprint goals Own the identification and management of crossteam dependencies Lead team retrospectives to help teams continuously improve their practices to ensure maximum productivity Ensure high throughput of development teams by identifying potential issues and roadblocks and working on preventing or eliminating them Drive network security solutions Create network documentation, training materials, and configuration templates for network drawings, text descriptions, and equipment configurations Work with Product Management, Business Analyst, Architects, and Engineers to plan and ensure product backlog is prioritized, groomed, and has enough detail ready to be worked on by Scrum teams to avoid any downtime, ambiguity or rework COMPETENCIES Mentor, coach, and train team members Facilitation lead release planning, and scheduling, by providing Scrum team statistics, identifying project dependencies, and forecasting velocity, maintain project plans Influence manage multiple teams with tight deadlines and dependencies Innovation drive changes to improve methodologies QUALIFICATIONS EXPERIENCE Required Seniority will be based on experience 8 years of experience and a Bachelors degree, 6 years of experience and Masters degree, or 4 years of experience and a PHD in Engineering, Business or related field required a combination of education and experience will be considered 8 years of experience in Project Management Advanced Certified Scrum Master ACSM or Project Management Professional PMP certification Moderate experience working with highly technical stakeholders Moderate proficiency with Atlassian tools i.e. Jira and Confluence and Microsoft Project Advanced proficiency in English, other languages a plus 10 international and domestic travel Preferred Advanced Certified Scrum Master ACSM and Project Management Professional PMP certification Certified Scrum Product Owner CSPO Experience working in the Satellite or Telecommunications industry Experience working on a global or multinational team WHATS IN IT FOR YOU? About the role Within the broader domain of spacecraft engineering, we work in a variety of different areas, ranging from spacecraft subsystems structures, mechanisms, space propulsion, avionics and other relevant areas, to the development and execution of entire space missions, including the exploitation of data gathered during the missions.
