Nashville Sounds announce Coca-Cola as Official Soft Drink Provider For First Tennessee Park

The Nashville Sounds Baseball Club is pleased to announce a multi-year partnership with Coca-Cola Bottling Company Consolidated that makes Coca-Cola the official soft drink and water provider for the brand-new First Tennessee Park, which opens in April in North Nashville. The agreement ensures that Sounds fans will continue to enjoy the wide variety of Coke brand fountain and bottled sodas and drinks that have been long-term staples at Sounds' concession stands, including Coca-Cola Classic and Dasani Water.

Goya Foods slams 'outdated, inaccurate' 4-MEI figures in soft drinks study

Goya Foods has hit back at a study on the safety of 4-MEI in soft drinks by John Hopkins researchers, insisting that the team's data on the caramel color byproduct is 'outdated and inaccurate'. The study, which we reported on last week, stated that consumers are being put at an unnecessary and avoidable risk of cancer via unduly high levels of 4-MEI in soft drinks including some Pepsi products and malted soft drink brand Malta Goya.
