It employs some 40,000 employees generating revenues of approximately 14 billion per year.A vacancy for a Payload Product Development Manager mf has arisen within Airbus Defence Space in Toulouse. The successful applicant will join the Payload Product Development department. The Payload product development group belongs to the Payload Product department within the telecom programme directorate. It is a transnational entity across France and the UK. Its main role is to develop advanced payload architectures answering to future telecom satellite customer demands. It covers in particular new payload concepts based on digital processing, such as active antennas or photonics solutions, for instance. The main objectives are to define advanced added value architectures, high level requirements for key enabling technologies and solutions and to define development road maps. In its activities, the payload development group interfaces with the commercial and marketing entities, with institutional entities CNES, ESA, CE, EDA, etc., as well as with internal and external equipment suppliers. Within the Payload product development group, you will be in charge of defining advanced payload architectures, with a main focus on RF, digital, processed and photonics solutions.Your main tasks and responsibilities will also include Developing payload solutions architectures, performance, modelling for advanced payloads including RF, digital, photonic solutions Assessing the benefit s of advanced solutions with respect to customer needs Defining associated payload road maps, specifications and development needs, for key equipment and solutions Participating in the developmentdemonstration project buildup including bids, partnership development, project implementation, Interfacing with the market world marketing entity, commercial customers, KAMs, etc. for business need understanding Interfacing with agencies, for study and funding capture Interfacing with suppliers for technology maturity survey and development followup Supporting commercial bids for advanced solutions. The Job purpose is to innovate and improve new and existing service products for Airbus Defence and Space. You will enable and enhance added value services from smart devices across the Airbus Defence and Space networks and systems. Airbus will provide training to enable expertise and time to explore capabilities within industry and academia to enable you to identify burgeoning technology and introduce this technology into todays services. You will act as the teams POC for matters involving applications and data services. The successful candidate will be subject to UK National Security Clearance in order to undertake related work in accordance with business needs. Your main tasks and responsibilities will include You will manage and coordinate activities to investigate and design new technology and solutions to enable both military and commercial secure services. You will work with Sales, Service Creation and Customers to identify opportunities for the integration of new technological capabilities into new or existing services which will create customer value and enable Airbus Defence Space to develop profitable service offers. You will act as the focal point for the design and delivery of data applications within the Innovation and Product Development IPD Team maintaining your skillset and knowledge through the appropriate training and attendance at appropriate exhibitions. You will be responsible for training the Technical Innovations team to a common level of awareness and provide sufficient understanding to allow them to discharge their tasks as design engineers with your assistance. You will be responsible for maintaining a portfolio of competitor and industry offerings and roadmaps. You will assist in Innovation and Product Development IPD team tasks as directed. This role will involve some travel for business and as such you must be able to travel accordingly. We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience Strong knowledge and experience in Network Engineering. Evidenced technical and practical competence in IP communication protocols. Knowledge and capability in Li Fi would be an advantage. Good understanding of RF. Evidenced knowledge of Software principles and proven capability in C and Linux a benefit. Proven decision making ability. Commercial mind set and strong negotiations skills. A vacancy for a Fluid and Thermal Product Development Engineer mf has opened up at Airbus Defence and Space at its Toulouse site. The successful candidate will join the Engineering and Products entity within Mechanical Engineering and will be based at the SaintExupry Institute for Technological Research IRT in Toulouse, assigned to the SoCool project. In this context, you will work mainly on the research and development activities for the IRT project on set 2 Energy transportation. These themes are CapillaryMechanical Hybridisation Modelling transitory hybrid loops MiniMicro multisource capillary pumping systems stability of miniaturised capillary loops. The IRT project manager will steer these activities, in direct coordination with the Thermal engineering departments TSOEM43 and RT TSOEM41 in the Engineering and Products entity. Over time, you may progress to steering the RT thermalthermo fluidic activities within the TSOEM entity. Your main tasks will include Conducting technological development activities associated with the themes Analysing the theoretical plans and modelling the thermo fluidic phenomena. Studying and overcoming technological barriers associated with the developments Designing technology demonstrators Performing experimental studies on thermo fluidic phenomena Focusing the thematic working plan in relation to the Airbus D S objectives, Implementing a technology watch for all the themes addressed within the IRT SoCool project, Summarising the progression of work for the RT and thermal departments operational teams for Airbus Defence and Space Toulouse. As the successful candidate you will be able to demonstrate some of the following skills and competencies Engineering degree or university equivalent 5year degree in the domain of fluid andor thermal mechanics a PhD in thermo fluidics or thermal engineering would be a plus, At least 5 years of experience in fluid mechanics and thermal engineering, Initial experience in project management in particular RT as well as in developing thermal control technology, Experience in the spatial domain is an advantage, Expertise in the behaviour of fluids in microgravity capillary phenomena, Knowledge of modelling thermal and fluid mechanics manual calculations and modelling tools on the market, Taste for developing innovative technologies and designing associated products, Ability to summarise and make decisions and meticulousness, Autonomy, Good interpersonal and communication skills written and oral, Ability to integrate within a team and adapt, An advanced level in English and a negotiation level in French.
