You will be responsible for the management of the daytoday availability of the operational infrastructure of ESA systems. Support for the identification, investigation and resolution of operational issues. Support for the implementation of new operational services. The successful candidate will be subject to UK National Security Clearance in order to undertake related work in accordance with business needs. Your main tasks and responsibilities will include Day to day monitoring of the operational platforms, provisioned network services and system and network security. Identification, investigation, resolution and reporting of system, network and security issues. Use of ticketing systems. Ensuring the provision of the required level of service is delivered to customers. Liaison with customers, maintainers and SupportIndustrial Teams. Generation of statistics and reporting for operational contracts. Provision of technical input for proposals. Provision of technical support to PDGS Services Operations Manager. Attendance to technical meetings for both Customer and Business. Identification, recommendation of new operational hardwaresoftware. Support for network design and implementation as necessary. Implementation and support of virtualised environments VMware. InstallationIntegration of new hardwaresoftware. OS installation and configuration. Security patching of OS. Support of data management and dissemination activities. Implementation of storage devices NAS. BackupRecovery Business Continuity. Preparation of technicaloperational documentation. Review and update of technicaloperational documentation. Provision of support to other areas of the business as required. Keep abreast of new technologies and operational practices. Awareness of Quality, Environmental and Security standards as appropriate to the tasks in hand. Ensuring physical security of the site and operational facilities are maintained in accordance with company policiesrequirements. Other tasks relevant to the business as directed. We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience Proven experience supporting Business Critical Infrastructure and Services. Experience of Datacentre operations. Knowledge of Storage technologies. Experience of handling and managing large volumes of data. Infrastructure Design Implementation. Knowledge and hands on experience of installation, configuration and integration of hardware Rack maintenance servers, network switches, etc.. Experience of Cisco Nexus and 6500 chassis would be an advantage. Knowledge of Network Monitoring and Security would be an advantage. Knowledge of Juniper network devices would be an advantage. LinuxUnix Administration. Strong problem determination and resolution skills. Customer focused and Service oriented. Good communication skills and strong technical writing skills. RHEA is currently recruiting an IT Infrastructure Support Engineer for our premises in Wavre, Belgium. Tasks and Activities The scope of work will include Providing Hardware HW and Software SW installation, configuration, upgrade, repair, support and maintenance of PCs, workstations and laptops Servers e.g. SharepointFile Servers, Backup Servers, applications license servers, Email Kerio and Firewall Fortigate Scanners, printers, faxes, digital senders and plotters PDAs and Smartphones Shared network resources Specific applications and nonstandard SW Project database e.g. Windows Access Recording and managing incidents and service requests. Performing corrective maintenance in response to user reported problems. Providing assistance to the user community in the technical and functional use of the services and applications. Providing support andor to all IT related projects for the organisation. Maintaining endusers distribution lists per application or per group, depending on needs. Distribution lists shall be typically used for notification of downtimes, upgrade, release notes, etc. Evaluating and maintaining the infrastructure, and guaranteeing value for money in the case of upgrading or replacing elements, suggesting upgrades, changes, and consolidation, as necessary to the benefit of the company. Managing the HW lifecycle of the infrastructure in scope and prepare, and maintain yearly, a multiyear replacement plan. Managing the different Operating Systems Windows, Unix, Linux taking care of system administration tasks, installation, maintenance, upgrade, troubleshooting and monitoring. Setup and maintaining an inventory management system and processing to record and track any IT HW, SW and OS licences belonging to the company. For any SW tool Managing the SW lifecycle and evolution Implementing immediately urgent and security related upgrades, Reporting on any non urgent upgrademigration need in the Monthly Report, Executing agreed upgrades. Providing recommendation for hardware and software procurements, as well as performing software and hardware testing for potential purchase. Analysing possible technical solution to projects or users requests and issues, modifying the existing solution integrating already existing software or applications or developing adhoc solutions. Skills and Experience The following skills and experience are mandatory At least 5 years of experience in an IT support environment for a mediumlarge organization. Extensive knowledge of MS Office, MS Access, MS Project, Visio, Adobe Acrobat, Firefox. Previous experience with HWSW and VOIP infrastructure maintenance including procurement activities. Knowledge of Operating Systems Windows, Unix, Linux, and Virtual Computing i.eVMWARE. Experience in Remote PC Management i.e dameware, controlnow, gfi etc Experience in Server related activities Installation, Configuration, Maintenance and disaster recovery on Firewall, Web server, FTP Server, Mail Server, Printer Server, Web filtering, Active Directory, Antivirus Server Experience in Network related activities Installation, Configuration, Maintenance, cabled networks and wireless, firewall and router configuration. Ability to work within a team, with a customeroriented attitude. Fluency in English is a must. Willingness to travel to various RHEA locations around Europe to provide onsite IT support.
