Senior Manager, Procurement, Business Services Luxembourg Betzdorf Role Description Summary The Senior Manager Procurement, Business Services is the Global Category Manager for the category Business Services and Car Fleet. Heshe coordinates, supports and mentors a team of Category Managers, covering the abovementioned categories plus Marketing, Communication and PR and Travel and Expenses, held by other category managers, but enablingempowering any member of the team to cover projects outside of their categories if required. Accountable for the design and execution of procurement strategies and projects ontime, onspec, onbudget and in compliance with SES policies, objectives and strategy. Accountable for preparation and execution of negotiation strategies, contracting and contract implementation. Execute on the company strategy on procurement of the Business Services mentioned above. Works with SESworldwide budget holders to facilitate sourcing and new source development, in coordination with the Global VMP team. Bid support regarding Procurement expertise to SES teams participating in tenders, heshe may be involved in managing other SES Procurement categories of VMP scope as needed. Monitoring of companywide compliance with the SES Procurement Policy within the relevant category and geography, working with stakeholders on noncompliant cases, assess their criticality and maintain an adequate level of compliance to Companys policies and procedures. Provide leadership and support for active Vendor RelationshipService Management on the relevant categories and geography. Supports company transformation by providing input and feedback on new processes, procedures and tools. Primary Responsibilities Key Result Areas Category Management Develops categories and commodities strategy for Professional services and Car Fleet, based on accurate spend distribution perform vendor segmentation. Support relevant SES functions with a strategic view on procurement in the relevant category, agreeing strategic category plans with the budget holders. Develop global sourcing strategies that will provide competitive advantages to the budget holders. Coordinate the execution of the strategies with global, regional and local teams. Supervises, validates and signs off, together with the Head of Department, the strategies proposed for other categories managed by direct reports, their full alignment with the company and Department objectives Financial results, Customer Experience, Digital transformation, Flexibility. Bid Strategy and Negotiation Develop and implement the bid and negotiation strategy for all commodities covered by category strategy through analysis of global markets, commodity trends, value chain analysis, clean sheet costing, business needs and vendor relationship management. Lead and coordinate crossfunctional negotiation teams, ensuring that adequate preparation is carried out. Transactional operational activities Work with other VMP staff with the goal to answer the business needs. Company Financial Results Contribute to the Company savings and Cash Flow objectives. Continuously improve companys working capital position, meet other factors requested by the business. Vendor Relationship Management VRM Provide leadership to develop world class relationships within vendor organizations to align suppliers strategies with the companys focus on total cost of ownership, advantaged supply chain, innovation and continuous improvement. Supports the Vendor Service Management group in monitoring regularly relevant aspects on vendor performance based on agreed KPIs, the current and potential vendors health status, including financial, legal, capacity, capability aspects, major contract milestones involving contract lead functional specialist to ensure compliance during and after the implementation and maintain the value provided by the respective agreement for its whole duration. Monitors current service levels to ensure agreed standards are consistently delivered. Identifies, trends and forecasts future customer needs, recommends and implements changes to continually improve the customer offering. Market Competitive Intelligence Develop efficient channels for capturing effective market intelligence. Supports and if necessary drives efforts to automate and improve intelligencegathering and Leverage this data through shouldcost models and other forms of financial or negotiation strategies. Benchmark vs and across industries to identify untapped savings potential. Drives involvement of VMP on trade fairs, conferences, etc., coordinating with the Business Services teams to offer a coordinated position towards vendors and facilitating the generation of new business and partnerships. Processes and Systems Apply VMP and Companys processes, policies, procedures and systems along the sourcing process Ariba, VMS, vendor account creation and maintenance, saving calculation, reporting, etc.. Represent VMP during internal and external audits. Develop and maintain an excellent understanding of the SAP purchasing module, and of SAP Ariba, including interaction with and training for internal stakeholders, support Sourcetopay process optimization. Proposes and maintains standardized processes around Business Services related procurements statement of work, technical requirements and statement of compliance, price breakdown, etc. for better efficiency. Projects involvement Support SES projects in a timely manner as needed, integrates in project teams as necessary and takes ownership of all thirdparty procurement, delegating as necessary and as allowed by policy, making sure silos are broken up. Qualification Experience Masters Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, IT, Engineering, Finance or Business Management Minimum 12 years of experience in total, preferably working across various Manufacturing or Service Provider organizations from different sectors, involved in multitasking, multicultural project teams, multinational matrix organization. Fluency in English, oral and written.
