Microwave USB Power Sensor (MA24208A)
2015-06-09 16:18:57| rfglobalnet Home Page
The MA24208A is a power sensor designed with “triple path” architecture that provides True-RMS measurements for CW, multi-tone, and digitally modulated signals from 10 MHz to 8 GHz over 80 dB of dynamic range. The sensor employs high-performance digital processing which enables measurement speeds of >1,600 continuous power readings/s continuous and >11,000 buffered readings/s. It is intended to be used to increase throughput and reduce cost-of-test in any lab, high-volume manufacturing and field environment.

EUMETSAT is the European satellite agency for monitoring weather and climate. Bringing together the resources of 30 member states, we develop and operate a range of satellite systems surveying the atmosphere, land and ocean that deliver vital data 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Our data contribute to weather forecasts that protect lives and property across Europe and to monitoring of our changing climate. From 2015 onwards, EUMETSAT will also operate Copernicus Sentinel missions on behalf of the European Union and provide data and support services to the Copernicus marine, atmospheric composition and climate change monitoring information services and their users. Microwave Instrument Engineer REF. VN1518 Working within the Instrument Team of our Low Earth Orbit Division, you will take ownership of following up the development of Microwave Sounder MWS, Microwave Imager MWI and Ice Cloud Imager ICI instruments and their level 1 processors for the EUMETSAT Polar System Second Generation EPSSG with its METOPSG satellites. Notably, you will focus on instrument definition, development, testing, prelaunch, commissioning and inorbit performance assessment for the six METOPSG satellites. This will imply ensuring that instrument specifications meet end user requirements, monitoring industrial development activities, ensuring timely availability of deliverable items and analysing performances, whilst participating in major system reviews, activities related to system end to end performance validation, and Anomaly Review Boards. To be equal to the challenge, you will require a degreelevel qualification in a relevant discipline such as Physics, Electrical Engineering or Remote Sensing, backed by experience in the development of microwave instruments and ideally experience of developing satellite data processing packages. Equally importantly, you should be capable of expressing complex ideas concisely, and be able to make clear and considered presentations. Finally, you must be able to work effectively in English and have a knowledge of French. Attractive employment conditions are offered, in terms of salary, comprehensive benefits including health and social welfare provision, and extensive relocation assistance if applicable . To learn more and apply online, please visit www.eumetsat.int. Deadline for applications 15 July 2015 EUMETSAT is committed to providing an equal opportunities work environment for men and women and is seeking to recruit nationals from its Member States.
