Job description For our customer, ESAESTEC, we are seeking an experienced Cost Engineer to work at ESTEC in Noordwijk, The Netherlands. Responsibilities You will be assigned to Cost Engineering Section TECSYC within the Directorate of Technical and Quality Management. The work covers the provision of standard cost estimating services including Project data collection, analysis, normalization, and entry into the existing Cost Engineering databases. Cost models development. This includes cost, schedule and risk aspects. Performing cost estimates including schedule and cost risk estimates. Provision of cost estimate reports according to the ESA standards. Support accountability analyses consisting of comparing in a structured manner the external estimates and prices versus the internal estimates. Benchmarking and calibrating internal and external cost models. For the execution of the above tasks the contractor will be requested to Use related ESA Corporate or Cost Engineering specific software tools, documentation, systems, and databases. Interface with the relevant actors within the Directorate, with ESA Programme Directorates and with ESA Corporate Services. This is a full time located at ESTEC, Noordwijk, The Netherlands. Qualifications Competencies The successful candidate shall have a university degree Masters in preferably in Aerospace Engineering or related discipline, as well as At least 4 years of relevant working experience including several years of cost engineering experience, preferably in the aerospace domain. Proven experience in gathering and processing reference data cost, programmatic, technical and building cost models out of them A demonstrated capability to provide cost estimates using cost models and produce structured and convincing cost reports. Ability to interface effectively with relevant actors at all hierarchical levels. Ability to readily assimilate and coordinate input data and provide timely output. Reliability, rigor and sense of initiative in the execution of the assigned tasks. Ability to understand and adapt to the ESA specific context and environment. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, as well as capability to synthetize and conceptualize ideas. Legal and Security Requirements All applicants must be legally allowed to work in The Netherlands Applicants must be eligible to obtain security clearance by their national security administration.
