One of our Space Clients in Germany is looking for a Mission Control Applications Engineer. This is a Consultancy Support position. The role would ideally suit a contractor looking for a long term consultancy role within the space industry. The submission deadline for applicants is August 24th 2015. Key Tasks and Responsibilities As part of the Mission Control Applications and Tools team, you will have the following responsibilities Definition and maintenance of the Ground Segment reference architecture. Functional analysis and decomposition of the Ground Segment requirements. Definition of Ground Segment requirements. Interface with Operations to consolidate the requirements operational concept. Requirements verification method and initial test cases. Incorporate the reuse of the Mission Control Application kernel products in the Ground Segment requirements and design. Interface with the Mission Control Applications kernel product experts to coordinate their contributions to the requirements definition. Architectural system level design of the Mission Control Applications. Production of design models. Definition and documentation of all Mission Control Applications interfaces. Support the applications development requirement and design engineering activities. Requirements, design and implementation reviews. Support the software development of the Mission Control Applications. Participation in verification readiness reviews and verification testing campaigns. Skills Experience University degree in an engineering discipline. Several years experience in specification, design, implementation, verification and maintenance of Mission Control Applications. Definition of Ground Segment system requirements and system architectural design for Mission Control Applications. Definition of software requirements and architectural design for Mission Control Systems. Development of Satellite Mission Control Systems with MICONYS. Full lifecycle of development and maintenance of Mission Control Applications. IVV integration, verification and validation activities for Mission Control Applications. LEO Mission Control Applications andor operations would be an asset. Mission Planning Systems and Flight Dynamics Systems would be an asset. Space related standards. IBM DOORS, Sparx, Linux, RDBMS, UML, XML, Eclipse would be an asset. Good English skills are essential. Qualifications University degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
