(Telecompaper) Swiss operator Sunrise and Swiss Fibre Net (SFN), JV between local energy companies, have agreed a fibre-optic network co-operation. The partnership covers the joint development of alternative fibre-optic network (FTTH) services for the Swiss market. SFN will standardise and harmonise the services of its local fibre-optic providers for Sunrise. For this purpose, a new central ordering, delivery and filtering platform called ALEX will be established, giving Sunrise central access to fibre-optic connections of SFN members.
