Access is currently cut off in Sanger after a trailer from an 18-wheeler got hung up on some railroad tracks and was later hit by a slow-moving train, according to Sanger Fire Chief David Pennington. He said FM455, Willow Street and Bolivar Street will be closed for four to six hours due to the accident.

A train traveling through Fairfield Friday had to make an emergency stop when the conductor saw a person standing on the tracks. According to the Fairfield Police Department's call log, the railroad company Burlington Northern Santa Fe notified the police that a male subject wearing shorts was standing on the tracks at 12:06 a.m. Friday on North Second Street near the Fairfield Depot.
