Mechanical Production Engineer Ariane 5

HE Space is a successful international space company. For 30 years, we have been supporting our customers with qualified experts in the field of engineering, science and administration. We are currently looking for a Mechanical Production Engineer Ariane 5 to support our customer in Germany. Mechanical Production Engineer Ariane 5 Key Tasks and Responsibilities You will be part of the work preparation team that is the central interface between production, project management, engineering, quality assurance and procurement departments. The department supports and coordinates the production and development of propulsion components for the Ariane 5 launcher and several other space and satellite components. You will have the following responsibilities Be the interface of the production towards the project management, quality assurance and procurement departments Act as consultant to the mechanical design engineers Support engineers with assessment of manufacturing feasibility Support workshop technicians by prechecking technical drawings Development of production documentation according to specifications Planning and coordination of ressources in the production areas Calculations, cost reports, schedule monitoring for the production area MAIT Procure external production services in cooperation with procurement Make or Buy decisions Support proposal development Support the development and release of production drawings Organise the internal component transport. Skills Experience You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience University degree in Production Technology, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or any other relevant discipline Experience in production technology, production planning andor a qualification in REFA or LEAN would be highly advantageous Knowlegde in MS Office and SAP R3 PP, MM is mandatory Good communication skills and an independent and proactive approach Fluency in German and English is mandatory.
