Vermont wins grant for connecting renewables

The state of Vermont has won a nearly quarter-million-dollar grant to help promote connecting renewable energy projects to the state's electric grid. The U.S. Department of Energy grant, announced by Vermont's congressional delegation, goes to a partnership being set up between the state Department of Public Service and Vermont's largest electric utility, Green Mountain Power.
