San Jose: The Alameda readies for Whole Foods opening, store tours
2014-12-03 01:55:58| Grocery - Topix.net
A new 35,000 square-foot Whole Foods Market and in-store microbrewery and tap room are scheduled to open on December 9, nearly seven years after its initial scheduled open date. The hundreds of local residents who signed up for free public tours of the new Whole Foods Market on The Alameda will have a lot to take in on Dec. 5 and 6. At 35,000 square feet, including outdoor seating for 200, the store is notable for its size alone, to say nothing of the adjacent two-story, 5,600-square-foot brewery building that houses coffee and juice bars as well as Mission Creek Brewing Company, Whole Foods' first in-store microbrewery and taproom in California.

The Phillips 66 Company Rail Spur Extension Project would bring as many as 250 unit trains a year with 80 tank cars plus locomotives and supporting cars to a new crude oil unloading facility in Santa Maria from the north or from the south along tracks owned by the Union Pacific Railroad.
