LG unveils new versions of mid-range K50 and K40 smartphones

(Telecompaper) LG has announced the upcoming launch of two new handsets in its mid-range 'K Series' ahead of IFA 2019 in September. The K50S and K40S Android 9 smartphones will offer "enhanced screens and more versatile cameras" as well as minimal bezels and "friendlier prices", said the company. The LG K40S comes with a 6.1 inch HD+ display, a 2GHz octa core processor, 3500 mAh battery and either 2GB or 3GB of RAM plus 32GB of storage. It's also equipped with a dual camera (13+5 MP) setup on the back and a 13 megapixel front-facing camera.

Koh also said that Samsung could release the mid-priced models more often than just once a year.
