Recycled polyester fiber prices have followed the same trends observed on the virgin fiber market in the past months, therefore remaining cheaper in China. Uncertainties are rising about the level of available PET bottle flakes, as imports have surged this year with domestic production however declining. Our report covers the recycled polyester PSF and POY prices in China over the past 3 years. Re-PSF and Re-POY prices are compared with similar virgin fiber prices for PSF and POY prices. Weekly prices, as well as indices over 3-month and 3-year periods, are available for download.

E.U. Clothing Imports: Latest and Long-Term Trends (Monthly Report)

European clothing imports have continued recovering in May for the second consecutive month, as a clear sign that the fall of the euro is progressively digested. Chinese shipments are no more significantly falling, with the Bangladeshi origin being negatively affected by the surge of minimum wages in the country. Our report covers monthly EU clothing import data, with historical trends being analyzed, and a specific focus on China vs. Rest of World (RoW) and Bangladesh, and on knit vs. woven clothing. Data are supplied in euros and US dollars with historical data available for download, back to January 2000.
