Aurora is an established supplier of skilled manpower to ESA and in particular at ESTEC and ESAC. Aurora has the opportunity to expand our support within ESAC. Overview BepiColombo is a joint ESAJAXA mission to Mercury. The mission comprises two spacecraft, ESAs Mercury Planetary Orbiter MPO and JAXAs Mercury Magnetospheric Orbiter MMO. The two spacecraft will be launched in October of 2018 with arrival at Mercury in December 2025. The activities of the MPO Science Ground Segment SGS include Science Operations Planning of the MPO payload, science data processing and data distribution to the instrument teams, quick look data analysis of science data and archiving of data in the BepiColombo science archive. The MPO SGS has interfaces with the Operational Ground Segment OGS at ESOC, the MMO JAXA Sagamihara Space Operations Centre SSOC, the MPO Instrument Teams and the Scientific Community. The SGS is based at the European Space Astronomy Centre ESAC in Villanueva de la Caada, Madrid, Spain. Specific Service Tasks 1. Service specific tasks in support to the Instrument PI expert contracts Overall tracking of 10 contracts with PI Teams from an administrative point of view. Maintain the CONFLUENCE pages concerning Instrument contracts constantly up to date, taking into account the outcomes of the Progress Meeting and the mail communication with Team i.e. actions closed, deliverables received, deliverables reviewed, etc Inspect progress reports and assessconfirm progress notify the Development Manager DM in case of problems Upload progress reports to Business Intelligence Reporting Framework BIRF General maintenance of the BIRF setupinformation Report periodically to DM about overall status attend weekly meetings Day to day communication with the Teams on administrative matters, e.g. resolve doubtsquestions, trackclarify missinglate payment if any, etc. Track closure of actions related to contracts both on Science Ground Segment SGS and on the Teams and send reminders as appropriate maintain status in JIRA, as appropriate. Relevant professional experience of several years in Project Support activities Contract management Configuration management Organisation of meetings IT web based technologies and WINDOWS MAC systems Elaboration of management and technical documentation. Good knowledge of project management standards and concepts. Good knowledge of standard configuration control methods and practices. Good knowledge of configuration control tools e.g. JIRA. Legal and Security Requirements All applicants must be legally allowed to work in Spain without the need to obtain a work visa. Only European Union citizens can be employed by Aurora in Spain.
