NTT Docomo reorganisation puts focus on smarter living

(Telecompaper) NTT Docomo said it will establish a number of new business units from 1 July, as part of a business and organisational restructuring initiative aimed at creating new-business revenue expansion. The company wants the new units to strengthen and accelerate the creation of services that will enable customers to enjoy smarter living through innovative mobile systems. The R&D Innovation Division will house the R&D Strategy and Service Innovations departments. The Division will focus on technology innovation, network and mobile device development and implementation, and service innovation. The Service Design Department will develop, maintain and provide technical support for smartphone applications and server systems for new services that enable smarter living. It will also develop, deploy, operate and maintain server systems for i-mode, sp-mode, and similar services. The Frontline Support Department will plan and manage support for frontline assistance to customers. It wil also plan systems and processes for mobile phones and others and other devices, as well as for subscriptions. Finally, the Billing Service Department will be in charge of billing services.

CANADA - Technical and consulting services to producers in the pork industry, such as herd management, animal welfare and meat quality, as well as the operations of Sogeporc Inc., a subsidiary specialising in the improvement and marketing of swine genetics at La Coop fédérée and its meat processing subsidiary, Olymel, are now to be placed under the responsibility of Olymel.
