A vacancy for a Catalogues Technical Manager mf has arisen within Airbus Defence Space in Toulouse. You will join the Upstream Operational Center and will participate in the inservice support of the following existing optical catalogues Pliades, Spot 67, Spot 15 for as long as they stay operational, XCAT, the future multisensor optical catalogue, replacing the Pliades and Spot 67 catalogues, systems related to the catalogue manual recording of cloud cover and calculation of optimal cloud cover. You will also participate in the continuous improvement of these systems and the examination of new needs linked to the new sensors or to business needs. Within this context, you will be in charge of the following main activities Inservice support of catalogues and related systems o Supporting the operator and providing backup in hisher absence for urgent daily activities. o Analysing complex degraded operational situations, with possible support from the manufacturer. Drafting o DITs anomaly files and preparing investigation contexts. o Participating in the support to users and managers of interfacing systems. o Qualifying and installing new versions. Participating in the setting up of the multisensor catalogue o Participating in technical and operational qualification activities. o Defining the daily work within the framework of the multisensor, training and operator support. o Developments and setting up of the new operating scripts required for the multisensor catalogue. Continuous improvement of the systems and processing of new needs new topics will need to be processed as part of the multisensor catalogue, they will be divided between the catalogue technical managers o Analysing the need, the user need business or system, focused on the catalogue or over a wide scope, o Participating in engineering meetings for the needs that have an impact on the ground segment, o Stating the need for the attention of the manufacturers, analysing the industrial proposal and choosingvalidating the o solution, monitoring developments, qualification and operational golives o Prototyping solutions and performing operational stopgap measures This position will require oncall duty 1 weekend per month. You will join the MidStream Operational Centre and will be in charge of inservice support and upgrades for this web portal. The DRS Portal provides a host environment for our optical imaging Direct Receiving Station DRS customers. There are approximately twenty DRS deployed worldwide. This portal provides our DRS customers with a set of technical and contractual information in particular an overview of their current credit consumption, but above all it provides a simplified user interface to enter their satellite programming requests and track these requests. This portal is now being gradually rolled out to DRS customers. In terms of functionalities and the technologies used, this portal is similar to the online sales portal GeoStore, which provides the user community final customers, resellers, subsidiaries, some internal users with resources for ordering image products from satellites operated by Airbus DS GeoIntelligence, and which can be used for ordering and automatic delivery of archive products previously acquired images but also for ordering new acquisitions which will be automatically programmed, produced and delivered. The DRS portal, like GeoStore, is not itself a technical system it is based on a set of systems that includes web facades, authentication, consultation and ordering systems, feasibility calculation for new acquisitions, and a close interface with back office systems such as the IT system and programming and production ground segments. Your main role will be to provide the inservice support and upgrades for the DRS portal. Your secondary role will be to contribute to the same activities for the GeoStore portal, as backup for the GeoStore technical manager. Within this context, your main activities will include Coordinating work on the different technical systems that make up the architecture of the portal, supported by both the function managers customer service focal points, programming focal points, etc. and the technical managers RTS for the different technical systems technical followup, meeting organisation, technical analysis of portal upgrades, writing requests for modification DMs and analysis of multisystem faults Consolidating the schedule for the upgrades of different systems, organising the portallevel qualification phases and actively participating in these qualification phases Managing priorities for new developments, closely aligned with the business priorities and coordinating with both the focal points and the RTS for the different systems Intervening when operational problems are encountered by users, investigating anomalies and, where necessary, developing remedial procedures to keep the relevant functions operating correctly Communicating progress to the focal points, giving visibility on planning, progress of the qualification phases, the major anomalies encountered and how they are handled, and supporting communication to and training of the end users Defining and following up the indicators related to correct operation of the portal, using the existing followup systems and, if necessary, developing additional functions necessary for production and for utilisation of information Complying with the operational rules of the TCIFE2 department. Effectively working with the RTS for the systems used by the portal Writing weekly reports and participating in Steering Committees. The technical documentation and interactions with other staff are partly in French and partly in English.
