The man in charge of day-to-day operations at the Greater Columbus Convention Center has been fired after revelations that he previously had been paid as a consultant for the company that was awarded the facility's food vending contract in 2014. Rodney Myers, operations director for the convention center, was terminated on Jan. 15 after it was discovered he helped food vendor Centerplate land the Convention Center contract, two sources at Columbus City Hall and one close to the investigation have confirmed to The Dispatch.
