NREL has launched initiative to build open-source database of real-world performance from solar facilities across the country. Part of DOE's SunShot Initiative, Open Solar Performance and Reliability Clearinghouse (O-SPaRC) will improve access to capital by enabling credit rating agencies and potential investors to assess underlying risk of asset class. It will also give private market tools to develop investment vehicles such as asset-backed securities and real estate investment trusts.
