Goshen, Ind.-based Dutchmen Manufacturing Inc. is ahead of its production schedule at the 183,000-square-foot factory it opened in November on the north side of Syracuse, Ind., to build and conventional and ultralight travel trailers. "It's coming up to speed very quickly," said Troy James, vice president of sales for the Thor Industries Inc. unit, now part of Thor's Keystone RV Co.

The Maguire family of car dealerships, known for its no-haggle pricing policy, has expanded from the Ithaca and Watkins Glen areas with the opening of Maguire Nissan on West Genesee Street in Syracuse. Maguire recently acquired the Bill Rapp Nissan franchise, which operated at 3446 Burnet Ave., and relocated it, along with Rapp Nissan's service technicians, to the former Saturn store at 716 W. Genesee St. Maguire Nissan opened at 716 W. Genesee St. Nov. 2. The Maguire name is not yet on the building but will be soon.
Owner of Crouse Hinds buys Syracuse lighting company

Eaton Corp., the owner of industrial lighting manufacturer Crouse-Hinds, has quietly purchased Ephesus Lighting Inc., a young but growing Syracuse company that makes LED lighting for sports stadiums. No formal announcement of the acquisition has been made by either company, but Eaton Chairman and CEO Alexander Cutler reported it matter-of-factly deep inside the company's third-quarter earnings report Friday morning.

Coyne Textile Services, an industrial laundry company founded in Syracuse in 1929, will be sold to competitors and its Syracuse plant closed.
