China Mobile tops customer adds in August

(Telecompaper) China Mobile topped 820.1 million mobile telephony subscribers in August, up from 818.7 million at the end of July. During August, China Mobile saw 1.3 million net customer additions, compared to 1.5 million in June this year. China Mobile's 3G subscriber base reached 202.6 million at 31 August, down from 209.8 million in June. The operator ended August with over 229.2 million subscribers in the 4G segment compared with 208.8 million in the previous month.
