Ebola epidemic spurs hunt for new, faster tests

As the Ebola epidemic ignites new waves of infection in remote Africa, scientists are racing to find better ways to detect it quickly, simply and cheaply. "There is a very urgent need to recognize the difference between Ebola and non-Ebola patients as it reaches regions where it has not been before," said Erwan Piriou, lab adviser for Doctors Without Borders, which has tested and admitted 3,200 Ebola patients in Africa.

It is the fact that you are on a phone call and that your cognitive distraction is taking over, versus paying attention to driving. That is really the problem; it is not necessarily the device. My gut feeling tells me that we are seeing the progression of laws that first allowed hand-held, then hands-free, and eventually they will move to full cell phone bans."
