A former Coldwell Banker Burnet real estate agent caught on camera last fall appearing to steal prescription painkillers from a home for sale in Stillwater was charged Monday with felony theft in Washington County District Court. Lawrence Yearsley Jr., 63, of White Bear Lake appeared to take the medication Oct. 30 after rifling through a desk and dresser in the bedroom of the homeowners' son, according to a criminal complaint.

A state court jury heard closing arguments Thursday evening in the case of a real estate agent accused of defrauding buyers of lots by allegedly failing to disclose her ownership interest and the fact there was no water available in a Saratoga Springs subdivision and no building permits would be issued. The jury of seven women and three men got the case about 6 p.m. after the prosecutor and the attorney for Kimberly Bowen finished closing arguments at the end of a nearly two-week trial in 3rd District Court in Salt Lake City.

A federal jury on Tuesday acquitted a Northwest Side real estate agent and former banker on all charges stemming from an alleged scheme to hoodwink his own bank into illegally lending $650,000 to the buyers of a South Side theater, then keeping a large chunk of the cash for himself. Robert Michael, 65, an owner of Michael Realty and former CEO of the now-defunct Citizens Bank and Trust, was indicted in 2013 on one count each of bank fraud, making false statements to a bank and money laundering.
