(Telecompaper) In the first quarter, the top three smartphone brands, made up of Samsung, Apple and Huawei, accounted for 80 percent of the Dutch market, measured by smartphone use. In the first quarter of 2015, this combined share was at 69 percent. The available leeway for small smartphone brands has therefore fallen over the same period to 20 percent from 31 percent, according to figures from the Consumer Insights panel.

The market researcher's annual comparison of mobile prices across 16 European countries also shows that in most countries operators are including more and more data in their postpaid Sim-only plans, without a major increase in prices.
