Environmental Services is replacing or repairing about 17,000 feet of public sewer pipes that are between 60 and 90 years old and in poor condition. The city installed many of these sewers before 1920. The project also includes constructing about 9,100 feet of 6-inch sewer branch pipes that will connect homes and businesses to the new public sewer pipes.

SE Ivon Madison Green Street Project: Construction Update February 21, 2014

Environmental Services is currently working on a project to construct 13 green street planters near SE 41st and Ivon and SE 58th and Madison to remove stormwater from the public sewer system. This project also includes refurbishing two existing green street planters on SE 29th between SE Grant and Harrison. Maps of the facility locations can be found on the project website.
