Amazon, Google agree to carry each other's video apps

(Telecompaper) Amazon and Google have put aside their differences to allow distribution of each other's video apps on their respective hardware. As a result, the YouTube app will be available on Amazon Fire TV devices, and Amazon Prime Video will be available over Google's Chromecast and Android TVs.

Performances ranged between +13 percent for Walt Disney and -13 percent for McClatchy.

The new unveilings followed its announcement of Anthos, an open source platform powered by Kubernetes, on Day 1. Anthos is "a single platform for developers and operations; it is for on-premise and multicloud installations," said Google SVP Urs Hölzle.
