(Telecompaper) Bouygues Telecom has agreed exclusive terms with Credit Mutuel to acquire MVNO Euro-Information Telecom (EIT), which operates in France under several consumer-facing brands (Auchan Telecom, Cdiscount Mobile, CIC Mobile, Credit Mutuel Mobile and NRJ Mobile). Alongside this deal, Bouygues Telecom has also signed a distribution partnership covering 4,200 branches of Credit Mutuel's banking group, including subsidiary CIC.

Walmart Mexico launches new MVNO called BAIT on 'Red Compartida'

(Telecompaper) The launch is backed with a promotion whereby anyone buying a SIM card for MXN 20 will be able to access free unlimited calls, SMS and data for 30 days before the end of July. The company's prepay plans come with unlimited calls and SMS plus 500MB of data for MXN 20, rising to 5GB for MXN 50 and 20GB for MXN 200. The latter two plans include an additional 5GB and 20GB at speeds of 512kbps once the bundle has been used up.

Masmovil buys MVNO Lycamobile Spain for EUR 372 mln

(Telecompaper) Spanish telecommunications group Masmovil, the country's fourth largest network operator, has announced an agreement to acquire 100 percent of the shares of MVNO Lycamobile Spain for a total of EUR 372 million, confirming earlier reports. The subsidiary of the UK-based Lycamobile group has been targeting the ethnic market in Spain since its launch in 2010 and reported revenues of EUR 132 million and an EBITDA of around EUR 45 million last year.
