FAA Announces Request for Proposals for Unmanned Aircraft Systems Research and Test Sites

FAA solicited proposals to develop 6 unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) research and test sites around USA. UAS introduction into national airspace will require ensuring privacy is appropriately protected. Accordingly, FAA is requesting public input into FAA efforts to ensure privacy questions surrounding pilot program are properly addressed. FAA's proposed privacy approach emphasizes transparency, public engagement, and compliance with existing law.
