Requirements Engineer for Space Projects Category Information Technology City Leatherhead, Surrey, United Kingdom Position ID J11140366 Permanent Full Time Posting Date 10 December 2014 Posting Expiry Date 30 January 2015 Position Description The project requires a requirements manager to maintain the DOORS requirements baseline for the Galileo KMF, GSF and Security teams for the Galileo full operational capability FOC, a contract won in mid 2011. This is an exciting opportunity to play a part in the development of Galileo, Europes satellite navigation system. The position is for a role on the Galileo programme supporting the Key Management function KMF Galileo Security Facility GSF and Security Projects in the Requirements Management team. The project is implementing a series of enhancements to provide the Full Operational capability for the Galileo satellite navigation programme. The Galileo KMFs manage the encryption keys used in the navigation services. Candidates should be capable of quickly picking up new concepts as the system is large and complicated, working to high standards of quality, and to agreed timescales either independently or as part of a team. The DOORS management responsibilities will include DOORS admin users, backups, licenses, installationupgrades DOORS documentation documenting DOORS standards and procedures DOORS automation and tools for requirements management and use o Maintaining Galileo automation tools o Extracting up to date DOORs data for developers and testers o Quality checking DOORS content o Generating DOORS status reports o Generating deliverable word documents from DOORs Maintaining customer supplied DOORS modules, and production of deliverable DOORS archives Maintaining baseline change documents to update the technical baseline Maintaining the DOORS web view access to DOORS General Team Management responsibilities will include Supporting separate KMF, GSF and Security DOORS projects for separate project groups Managing and scheduling tasks to produce deliverable Leading DOORS junior team member Generating deliverable outputs from DOORS for customer datapacks Reviewing and quality of deliverable documents generated from DOORS Providing adhoc user support Producing data extracts to address adhoc investigations and support DA, AIVP and Development Teams. Essential Skills DOORS Requirements Management Tool Configuration Management MS Office and VBA macros General code development and scripting skills Multiworkstream management Quick learner Desirable Skills Lowlevel networking concepts Windows, MS Office Tools and VBA Automation LinuxUnix Java Web application development Cryptographic Security experience.
